When we usually think of recycling, we think of the basic newspapers plastic bottles, and glass containers that we drag out to the curb once a week to do our small part in lessening the waste we create. But what if beyond those juice bottles and pickle containers that we pass on to the recycling center, we actually got creative and did a bit of recycling within our home?
This kind of idea is behind Resource Revival, a company out of Oregon that recycles, literally, tons of bicycle and computer parts every year into many a household item, from key chains to coffee tables. The clock we are featuring is constructed from a recycled bicycle cog. It’s fun, foreword thinking, and another way to support the use of recycled goods in everyday life!
So if you don’t have time to ride your bike, here’s a way to use a bike every second of every day! (But seriously though….we should all ride our bikes a bit more too. Its fun!)
