We are obsessed with Northern European design.  We plan imaginary vacations to Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark.  We imagine traveling by boat from the North Sea into the Baltic, docking in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, etc. in search of the latest and greatest from a region that seems pre-dispositioned to understanding a better way to make everything from furniture to tchotkes. 

This flight of fancy is brought on by the hours spent drooling over the Scandinavian design booths at gift fairs and an endless fixation with Danish blogs we can’t even read.  While we may never be able to afford that extended stay in Northern Europe or afford most of those design pieces we covet like a Danish Modern chair or hand-knit chandelier, we have a found a way to tide us over until we win the lottery…
